Welcome to the DEcarb™ Calculator, designed to calculate how many carbohydrates you consume in an average day and the exercise you need to do to offset your consumption of calories from carbohydrates.

To select the foods you would eat in an average day, click onto one of the nine food tabs (right) to show a drop down menu of food to select within that group. Each selection equals an average portion and drinks are measured in standard pub measurements e.g; 1 pint for beer and a small (120ml) or large (175ml) glass of wine. As you select your food the exercise required to offset your consumption will be shown at the top of the calculator.

Think about what you would eat for breakfast, at lunch and for your evening meal. Don't forget your snacks in between meals and any alcohol you may consume.

Your carbohydrate consumption may differ depending on what day of the week it is. Some people consume more on the weekend so perhaps work out your mid day week and your average weekend consumption to get your average.

Please note: The DEcarb™ Carb Calculator only calculates the calories from carbohydrates that you consume. It does not calculate the calories from fat that you consume.
